Loch Wharral Glen Clova

A track two miles before Clova hotel is a small gate to a path along the side of a small pine wood which climbs steadily towards Loch Wharral. The path unlike that of Loch Brandy is a gradual and an easy climb. Alternative routes take course over bog, streams and fences on the slopes to the peak of Loch Wharral.

The alternative route ... Parking at the road side almost 2 miles from Glen Clova hotel I began the climb to Loch Wharral. Taking Loch Wharrals scenic route over fences, bee hives, burns and streams, jumping ditches and fences and tearing through heather over growth, I meet the path to the peak an hour up the hill ... whew!.

On the photography outing to Loch Wharral two red dear ran near, as I watched them fade into the distance I remembered I had a camera ... missed photo opportunity.

Photographs include one image from base of Loch Wharral hill, a shot from the road side of tree and stone formation.
